About
I Bridge Technology and Education Through Innovative Research.
I'm Jennifer, an interdisciplinary researcher passionate about uncovering the transformative potential of technology in education and learning. I am the Principal Investigator of the Digital Technologies and Education Lab and a key member of the Technology, Media, and Information Literacy Team at foundry10. My work focuses on leveraging digital advancements to create inclusive learning environments for students and teachers.
Before joining foundry10, I was a Senior UX Researcher at Meta, leading foundational research on content recommendation systems for Facebook Groups. I hold a dual PhD in Psychology and Women's Studies from the University of Michigan, where I explored how social media use influences identity development, especially for individuals at the intersections of race, gender, and sexuality.
I am committed to making research accessible to a broad audience to foster positive social change. I firmly believe in the power of collaboration between academia, industry, and government to drive meaningful policy development and community support networks. By bridging these sectors, I aim to contribute to the creation of a more equitable and inclusive society.
